Vietnamese Iced Coffee

This recipe from The Newlywed Cookbook is a drink and a dessert, all in one!

The picture really doesn't do it justice. This is the coffee pre-stirred. We also DEFINITELY did not use the right glasses!

I enjoy my coffee black, with nothing added in so I was a little sceptical of this recipe.

Turns out, the addition of sweetened condensed milk is delicious! Something great to have as an afternoon pick me up on a hot summer's day.

Serves 2

*Original recipe from Sarah Copeland's The Newlywed Cookbook

INGREDIENTS

- 6 tbsp sweetened condensed milk

- Ice

- 1 1/2 cups cold, freshly brewed coffee (We put it in the freezer for a bit to get it nice and cold)

- 1 cup whole milk

DIRECTIONS

- Divide the sweetened condensed milk between two tall glasses

- Fill each glass with ice, 3/4 cup of the brewed coffee and 1/2 cup of the milk

- Serve with a stirrer
